Jersey Ex-Dairy Beef
Our ex dairy beef comes from Hiltonbury Jerseys in Hampshire, where the prize-winning pedigree jersey cows are reared to produce rich and creamy milk, whilst grazing on the lush green grass of their extensive farmland. Once they are retired, they are left to roam freely in the farm’s pastures, until they are at least 5 years old.
Having historically gone into mince for burgers amongst other things, retired dairy cattle have seen a surge in popularity in chefs and home cooks alike. Their tender, marbled meat, and rich depth of flavour are to blame.
