Made using 100% premium Italian durum wheat, Capparelli’s Casarecce is pasta with provenance. Sourced from Coldiretti farmers in Puglia, Tuscany, Sicily, and Campania as part of the Prime Terre project, this is wheat grown with care and it shows in the texture, bite, and flavour.
Casarecce (or casareccia) translates to ‘homemade’, nodding to the traditional technique of hand-rolling pasta dough around a thin rod to create its distinctive curled shape and central groove. Originally from Sicily, it’s designed to catch sauce in all the right places - making it ideal for rich, slow-cooked ragùs, fiery ’nduja, or simple tomato and basil.
We like it best with deeply savoury meat sauces - try it with our fennel sausage, a Tuscan-style beef shin, or leftover slow-roast lamb.
