Handmade Beef Wellington with Red Wine Jus

Beef wellington is the perfect meal to impress your guests. Not only does it look incredible, but it's oh so tasty.

Aged centre cut beef fillet is seared and then brushed with Dijon mustard, before being wrapped in a mushroom duxelles and Parma ham... no soggy bottom here, Paul Hollywood would be proud! Finally, the wellington is wrapped in layers of buttery puff pastry and given an egg wash, ready for you to pop straight in the oven!

Handmade beef wellington is a perfect dinner party option, a fabulous celebratory dish and of course, a romantic meal for two.

For the 2-person wellington

The wellington comes uncooked with an egg wash, so all you need to do is pop it in the oven. Heat up your tray in a preheated oven at 180°C/Gas mark 4. Place your wellington on the heated tray and cook in the oven for 15 minutes, before turning the oven down to 170°C/Gas mark 3 and cooking for a further 15 to 20 minutes until the core temperature reaches 45°C. Take out of the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Carve and enjoy!

For the 4-person wellington

The wellington comes uncooked with an egg wash, so all you need to do is pop it in the oven. Heat up your tray in a preheated oven at 180°C/Gas mark 4. Place your wellington on the heated tray and cook in the oven for 15 minutes, before turning the oven down to 170°C/Gas mark 3 and cooking for a further 20 to 25 minutes until the core temperature reaches 45°C. Take out of the oven and allow to rest for 7 minutes. Carve and enjoy!
