Join us this autumn for our Beef & Beers class - a hands-on butchery masterclass and guided beer tasting in collaboration with Brewser. We’ll be joined by a cicerone from Brewser, a leading voice in the world of craft beer, to introduce a selection of award-winning brews and explore the art of food and beer pairing.

Guided by our expert butchers, you’ll get hands-on with native-breed British beef, learning how to trim and tie an aged chateaubriand and cut flat irons from the blade. Everything you prepare will be carefully wrapped for you to take home, including two flat irons, a chateaubriand, and a selection of Brewser's beers.

Once the butchery is complete, the evening shifts to the table, where the HG Walter team will cook dishes showcasing the very cuts you’ve worked with. A flight of beers from Brewser will be poured alongside, with the team guiding you through tasting notes and the logic behind each pairing. Expect bold flavours, thoughtful matches, and the chance to discover new dimensions of both beef and beer.

This immersive class blends skill, flavour, and provenance - a unique opportunity to sharpen your butchery knowledge while exploring the craft of British beer. You’ll leave with a full belly, a deeper appreciation of pairing, and exceptional produce and brews to enjoy at home.
