Our Cumberland sausages are made with free-range pork and a traditional blend of spices. We fill our natural hog casings with coarse pork mix then hand-link our sausages. A great full English sausage and a favourite for bangers and mash!

The Cumberland sausage's characteristic flavour comes from Cumbria's historic spice trade. Whitehaven, a major British port, was integral to Britain's spice trade and influenced the taste of the sausage we make today.

Each sausage weighs approximately 70 grams.

 

For best results grill from fresh for 16-18 mins on a medium heat. Turn occasionally.
Check product is piping hot before serving.

Our main pig breed is a Hampshire cross Duroc. These pigs are crossed due to their ability to withstand the British weather, but also for their fat covering and tender meat-eating qualities.

The pigs are free-range and are born and spend their whole lives outside, overlooking the South Downs and the Brighton coastline. They are fed on a natural diet, free of growth promotors or growth hormones, that consists primarily of cereal (wheat and barley), with minerals and vitamins making up the rest.
