This role is perfect for school leavers wanting an exciting career, or anyone from a culinary background looking to sharpen their skills On-the-Job LearningWe will teach you to: Develop a wide range of knife skills and traditional butchery techniques Break down full carcasses and master the art of processing dry-aged beef Prepare orders for restaurants and wholesale partners Build confidence, teamwork, and organisational skills that will stay with you for life Our goal is to train well-rounded butchers, capable of tackling any task in a professional butchery. Apprentice Training Plan Practical on-the-job training: Knife skills and butchery techniques taught daily by experienced butchers Classroom training: Weekly theory sessions in our brand-new classroom, supported by our Training & Education Manager Provider support: Training partner visits every 8 weeks to review progress and provide guidance End Point Assessment (EPA): On completion of your training, you will undertake an EPA to formally assess your skills and knowledge and achieve your Level 2 Butchery qualification Career ProgressionOn successful completion of the apprenticeship, we can offer a permanent full-time position as a qualified Butcher. You’ll have the opportunity to specialise in areas such as: Sausage and bacon manufacturing Carcass breakdown and dry-aging beef Precision portioning for our restaurant and wholesale partners Retail butchery and customer service in our Barons Court shop For those eager to progress further, we also offer the Level 3 Butchery Apprenticeship, helping you develop advanced skills and open even more career opportunities.
