Our Dexter côte de boeuf is the ultimate sharing steak - a ribeye on the bone with serious presence and flavour. This Dexter comes from the Peak District, where cattle are reared on pasture and allowed to mature slowly on a grass-fed diet. This slower growth and smaller frame result in a finer grain and naturally tender texture.

Cooking on the bone enhances the Dexter’s distinctive depth of flavour, while the marbling melts into a buttery, succulent texture that makes every bite unforgettable. A showstopping steak that needs little more than good seasoning and a hot grill - though a creamy peppercorn sauce takes it to instant perfection.

Small in stature but big in flavour, Dexter is a traditional native breed once known as the “cottier’s cow” for its ability to thrive on limited land while providing both milk and beef. Today, Dexter beef is prized for its natural marbling, succulence and depth of flavour.
